Today was the fastest walk I've done since I started back last week. I covered 5.32 miles in 1 hour, 23 minutes. Compared to running that distance, it's nothing, but for where I am right now, it's not too bad. The important thing is that now, after the run, I am feeling good in a way I haven't felt in a while.

I probably won't walk quite as fast tomorrow, but depending on how I feel, may try a trial run on Thursday to see how it feels and how far I can go. If I do, that will be my "intense" workout of the week. The rest will just be walking.

The goal is to cover this distance, walking or running, every day this week. Ideally I'd like to do the same on the weekend, but if I do, then the walking then has to be light. Either that or I need another way of burning active calories. I think walking will be ok though. There's a marked difference between the walking I did this morning and strolling around for a couple of hours. Either way, I'm burning calories. The latter way is just a little more leisurely.

I'm finally starting to feel like I'm in a rhythm of working out. It's a very light rhythm, but it is a starting place. I'm not rushing, I'm not in a hurry, but I am finally feeling like I'm moving forward.
