Pulling back a bit

I think I may have been overdoing it this week. Did what I thought was a light run on the treadmill (really a speedwalk) and just didn't feel right, so stopped after about 15 minutes and went to the elliptical for 28 minutes which was also hard, but at least doable.

I think next week I'm going to just cut back a little on the cardio. I'm losing weight, and I don't need to be in a hurry so long as I keep losing the weight. If I do anything tomorrow, it'll probably just be a very long walk around Sligo Creek Parkway in the morning.

What I might do starting next week is start a "Couch to ***" type training plan. Hopefully something like that will help keep me from overdoing it.

Either way, I've lost 2 pounds so far. Clearly my metabolism is responding well to the new dietary guidelines and the increased cardio. I just have to find a way to keep the balance going without burning myself out.
